- Professional blogger/writer, Scholastic’s Top Teaching and Classroom Solutions: Selected as 1 of 2 teachers nationally to launch the teaching resource site, Top Teaching, where weekly literacy blog posts were featured. It currently hosts a team of 10 teacher bloggers. Through the site’s growth and popularity, I authored over 100 blog articles, lesson/unit plans, and professional development videos. Visitor stats reached nearly a half million visitors a month to my page and my blog posts were regularly featured on the Scholastic Newsletter which reach 700,000+ teachers around the world on a monthly basis, 2008-2012.
- Varied roles, Scholastic: Parent and Child Magazine Brain Trust Advisory Board Member as a regular writer/ contributor to the magazine, 2012; Scholastic Advisory Board Member, 2008-2014; Book Club Roundtable Participant (2013); Teacher Advisor (2008-2012), Beta site/app reviewer; routine trips to New York headquarters to brainstorm new ideas and programs.

- Presenter, Maury County Public Schools: Responsible for frequent and regular literacy professional development for three elementary schools as well as district wide PD training, 2005-2007.
- Presenter, Maury County Public Schools: Created a two-week summer writing institute with an attendance rate of 20+ teachers, 2007.
- Japan Fulbright Memorial Fund Participant, Tokyo: Three-week fully funded tour of Japanese schools and courses on the Japanese educational system. Several presentations upon return, including before the Maury County Board of Education and published article in local magazine, 2006. Hosting a Japanese educator through JFMF, May, 2014.

- Science Olympiad Leader/Coordinator: Barfield Elementary, 2008-2009 and Discovery School, 2010-2011.
- Various Parent Workshops: Parent roundtable on Understanding RTI, Response to Intervention, 2013, The Power of Student Blogging, 2013, co-presenter on Summer Reading and Writing, 2013. Monthly parent PD was required under a previous literacy coach position held, 2005-2007.
Community/Global Outreach
- Women's 8+ Team Captain, Nashville Rowing Club: responsible for scheduling un coached and coached rows and frequent communication, including a weekly newsletter, 2013-2014.
- World Outreach Church, 2nd grade teacher and regular volunteer (e.g. Easter Service, Harvest Hoedown, etc.), 2009-2013
- Middle Half Marathon Pacer Coordinator: Recruit and train experienced runners to help participants achieve specific finish time goals for the half marathon, 2014. Ran as the 1:55 pacer (accuracy within 4 seconds of goal), 2013.
- Teacher Chaperone, NASA Space Camp, Turkey: Ten day trip to Izmir, Turkey for 14 graduating 6th grade Discovery students, 2011.
- Teacher Leader/Organizer, MTSU partnership with Hangzhou University, China and The Confucius Institute: Assisted with all aspects of planning with Dr. and Mrs. McPhee for 15 elementary students with a ten-day trip to China. Details included creating agendas, presenting lessons to Chinese delegates and educators, leading presentations and roundtable discussions, and planning for Chinese administrators and students with a trip to America the following summer, 2012-2013.
